The Bedfordshire ladies all enjoyed their day and for some of us it was our first visit to Ramsey. Even the weather behaved, with the rain and low cloud lifting as we began the match. We were made very welcome and enjoyed playing your course.

The CAGU B Team [played] at Ramsey Golf Club [Sunday 5th June] against a very young, but strong Lincolnshire second team. The extremely blustery weather made conditions very tricky. The course however was presented in excellent condition and the greens in particular were soft and very true, especially considering the lack of rainfall in recent weeks.
A huge thank you must go to Ramsey G.C., and in particular to John Bufton, the Club Secretary, who looked after both teams on and off the course superbly.

We were very impressed with all areas of the course, but especially the greens, and we all thought the course was in superb condition despite the lack of rain. It was one of the best courses many of us had played this spring. I would be extremely grateful if you could thank the green staff for all their hard work, it has certainly paid dividends with such a dry start to the season.
We received a warm welcome from you and your staff and the meal after the match was excellent. This provided a perfect end to the day, which had seen some much needed rain in the morning, followed by lovely sunshine for our match [against Bedfordshire Senior Ladies].
I shall look forward to returning to Ramsey Golf Club in the near future.

On behalf of the SNAGS golf society I just wanted to say thank you once again to you and all the staff at Ramsey for making our day out such a success.
The weather was fantastic, the course excellent and the hospitality 2nd to non.

I am writing to thank you for your help in organising our day yesterday. We had a great time - even if the course was a little difficult (not for me of course!). The arrangements, the catering and the welcome were faultless. Thank you very much. I am sure many of our ladies will be back to play in less testing conditions, ie summer!

It is not often that I sit down to e mail a Golf Club I have visited but I will do on this occasion with pleasure.
Without exception, I have had excellent comments from my Society members following our visit on Monday. Not only from those who were there, but I was stopped in the street this morning by a member who couldn't attend, but had been told of our visit and how good it was.
We all thought the course was in top class condition and the staff, yourself in particular, made us feel very welcome.
You mentioned to me that you now catered for Societies on a Sunday and we will be very interested in visiting you again on one of our Sunday outings in the future.

I have just played your course today with a day organised by TYCO Valves Ltd. I must say I was very impressed with the condition of the course. I thought the greens were in excellent condition. All credit to your ground staff. I would certainly recommend you to any of Newark Golf Club members to play this course. Thank you all for a very enjoyable day.
Please convey my thanks to everyone - to Judith, who was my first contact, and first impressions are so important - to Rowena and the catering staff for their excellent quality and service - to Stuart and the Pro Shop staff for their generosity with extra prizes etc. - and most of all to you John, for your efficiency and generosity and making sure we were all happy on the day. The phrase "a ship is only as good as it's captain" comes readily to mind.
Of course, praise is all well and good, but the only way we can really show our gratitude, is by returning to Ramsey as often as we can. That will certainly happen. I will certainly make sure we have at least one visit per year, for a "not-so-friendly fourball" with the "boys" .

We all throughly enjoyed the course, which we all thought to be in excellent condition, even though the golf sometimes wasn't in the same mold! The members we encountered on the way round all made us feel most welcome, as did the staff in the clubhouse. An ice-cream van stationed on the road after the 9th would have been heaven!
