The numbers may have been down this year but all attending had a lovely evening. Margaret and Paul organised the event and Margaret, as usual, provided us with beautifully set tables.
Rowan, our regular piper was on hand to pipe us into the dining room; Mrs Surman said the Celtic Grace and Ina Hartley (myself) addressed the haggis. Paul then presented me with a lovely bouquet of flowers.
A tot of whiskey was served and I like to pour mine over my haggis, lovely. The food was delicious especially the bramble and butterscotch crumble tart!!!!! We finished with coffee and some of Sarah’s homemade shortbread. A big thank you to Sarah and her girls.
Becky, Richard and Patsy were on hand to fill up our glasses – it’s thirsty work clapping along to the many tunes Rowan played on his bagpipes throughout the evening.
A big thank you to all concerned.
