In the week of her Captain’s Day, Lady Captain Margaret and Carol Harris enjoyed a classic car drive in an E Type and Morgan, with champagne afternoon tea at the George in Stamford.The experience was auctioned at last years Captain’s Day, and John Harris kindly gifted the prize to his wife Carol and Lady Captain Margaret.The weather was perfect, and the ladies were resplendent in their summer dresses when collected from their homes by IPC Phil Ackers and Club Chairman Alan Mawhinney. They enjoyed a delightful sunny drive through the open countryside to Stamford; to arrive at the George Hotel in time for tea. The ladies enjoyed their champagne, sandwiches, scones and cakes in the beautiful courtyard garden, before being collected and driven home by their chauffeurs.A wonderful way to spend a summer’s afternoon for the ladies and great support for Club charities. Well done!
