With the change in weather this week I am anticipating that more members will wish to use the club house rather then relying solely on the deck. We are ensuring that as much space as possible is available inside the club house with us utilising the restaurant area, top bar and multi function room for sitting whilst maintaining social distance.
The latest Covid update from the government this week has introduced further changes as far as the club’s bar operation is concerned, specifically :
: making it mandatory for everyone moving about in any public space in the club house to wear a face covering which can only to be removed whilst sitting at a table and eating or drinking.
: making it mandatory for all food and/or drink orders and delivery to be by table service only. This will place an extra burden on the bar team particularly during the week and it would be appreciated if you could let the bar team know that you are taking a seat on the decking.
: making it mandatory for the club to use the NHS track and trace system utilising our registered QR code. One benefit of this system is that it can be used to sign in as an alternative to the bar team having to maintain a manual record of your visit. The app is simple to download and all members are encouraged to do so.
In line with the guidance on the “rule of six” we need to be conscious of the social distancing guidelines, the need to avoid congregating in groups larger than six and to avoid migrating from one group to another. There is no doubt that we will be scrutinised and maybe even visited to make sure that we are operating in accordance with the guidelines.
