Competitions Charge Account
We have explored the possibility of providing a clearer indication of your individual balance within the Comp charge accounts, however this is sadly not as straight forward as we had hoped. It is therefore our intention to send an individual update to all members with an active balance on say a monthly basis during this busy phase, we can adjust this frequency in line with member requests.
Please note that we still have a small overdraft in place so this will hopefully help provide an overlap so that members do not miss out on an opportunity to enter a competition, a warning message should be seen if you approach this threshold.
Your current Comp Charge Account Balance is £ 0.00
RAM & Fundraiser 15th August – Ladies & All members
There are still final places up for grabs for the RAM, as there are Midweek rounds and the final is being held on Wed 2nd Sept as a reminder this is therefore also open to our 5 day members.
The fundraiser on the 15th is open to all 7 day members and we are using this as previously stated as a form of landmark of our progress during these very difficult times and we hope that members will be able to join in and make it a fun day. Men will be using the White Tees and the Ladies the Red Tees, such mixed Golf is really only a special case of players playing from different Tees that have separate Standard Scratch Scores allocated, therefore an adjustment would often be made to provide parity between the PAR and SSS of each Tee. In our case the difference is 71 – 69 = 2, however the Red Tee Par is One more than the Whites which means all Ladies will receive an additional shot which is automatically allocated by the computer upon entry of the competition.
The providers of our computer system are continuing to add a number of member benefits to try and assist everybody to play within the guidelines, we have already introduced some of these and we are in the process of finishing some, “how to” guides to aid members get the most from these great features. The Eagle eyed amongst you would have noticed the small typo in our last message, committee members will be available on the 15th (rather than 16th) to discuss / review these points with members as required.
Sign-In / Mobile Score Entry – this can be readily achieved using HowDidiDo on either a Computer or mobile device, many members have already embraced this facility which we hope proves mutually beneficial, there is a small video of this on the HowDidiDo website or simple follow this link;

Book-In – as we approach competitions with Tee closures members are able again using HowDidiDo in advance to book-in a competition selecting a timed – zone there will normally be at least two again the Competitions Committee with review this as we move forward, the aim was to at least cover the traditional Early/Late requests that we have previously received.
Supplementary Scores – we are also pleased to share that very soon we hope to be able to provide a similar solution to more readily enable members to submit supplementary scores. More details to follow.
In closing Captain Alan and I would like to thank all the members for their much appreciated support, it is great to see so many members and in fact visitors enjoying the course that the Greens Staff continue to tirelessly provide, supported of course by all of our volunteers in all areas of the club. If anybody would like to get more involved or have any questions then please speak to anyone of the committee members and we will of course do our utmost to assist.
