Sorry to bombard you with messages but I just wanted to give you a quick update on Fundraiser this Sunday and Captain’s Day on Sat July 31st.
Firstly, can I say a huge thank you to all that have entered our fund raising event. In total we have 96 players which is a fantastic show of support. The weather looks set fair (hot probably) and there is lots to play for. I would like to thank in advance our hole sponsors:
Tom Burrows whose help group MENtal Health is sponsoring the 2nd hole
Paul Mason (P&L Motors) for sponsorship of the 18th hole
Ross Mawhinney (Crossfire Protection) for sponsoring the 7th
Also thanks to the ladies who have promised cakes and savouries for the halfway house!
As well as these “prize holes” there is lots else going on so please do bring a little cash with you to support the various activities on the day and help us fund two worthwhile club projects! Anyone still wishing to donate a raffle prize, please leave them with Scotty for me to collect.
My Captain’s Day which takes place on July 31st will be supporting Prostate Cancer UK, my 2021 nominated charity. On the day the lion’s share of all member donations will be going to the charity and, of course, I am hoping to raise as much as possible to add to the already healthy amount in my charity fund for this very worthy cause.
What you can expect on the day: Complimentary Professional Club Cleaning service when you arrive so please get there at least 20 minutes before your allotted tee time Nearest the Pin, Accurate Drive and Putting Competitions Complimentary Fizz and Strawberries at the 10th Complimentary on-course refreshment cart Complimentary late afternoon “themed” barbecue for all players and option to bring partners for a small cover charge – served from around 5.00pm Live entertainment on the deck (weather permitting) before and after the prize presentation from the Captain’s Prize Table Charity raffle and ball draw
Thank you to all who already have their names entered (more than 60 so far) so, if you have not already entered, please do so as I promise a good day for all!
