Dear all.
We would like to start by saying just how overwhelmed we both were by the level of support we enjoyed throughout the day starting at 3.30 AM with Jim Watts and his torches illuminating the first Tee, the well stocked and manned half-way house and all the members that joined us for the 7 and half rounds of golf. We were also joined by many others that have no idea just what it meant by joining us and provided additional support by simply walking the course with us, at times also acting as caddies.
The food kindly prepared by the volunteers was gratefully received by all and certainly encouraged people to dig deep and thus kindly encouraged most generous donations for the chosen charity.
It is very difficult to list individual names but please once again be assured that we are most grateful to all the people that helped us to achieve such a great feat and provide such a wonderful day. The atmosphere and welcome that we received upon reaching the 18th green for the last time and then in the clubhouse was amazing providing the icing on the cake.
We were asked why we took on the challenge, we had done something similar in the past, but this time we undertook the quest with the whole club in mind and are so pleased to be able to support the most worthy charities.
Thank you all so much for making such a special experience.
Yours gratefully
Mark & Glenn
