After many years of sterling service on behalf of the club Neil Barber, our head Greenkeeper, is retiring on Tuesday 30th November with Richard Shilling taking over the reins from 1st December.
Due to the bad weather “The Greenkeepers Revenge” 5 hole fun competition, planned for 27th November, was cancelled. Neil and his wife came down to the club in the afternoon to say farewell to the members. Richard Coles, Chairman, Ramsey Golf and Bowls Club, thanked Neal for all he had done for the club and wished him well in his retirement. He then presented him with a gift and a large card signed by the members.
Dear Member
As I am approaching my last few days here at Ramsey Golf Club I would like to say a heart felt thank you to you all.
For all the kind words and very generous leaving gift.
I will miss you all.
Neil.
