2025 Start Garden Project

I was so excited about today (8th Dec) as marked the start of our Gardening Project - it’s aim is to bring colour around clubhouse with planters and planting & to keep weeds down as much as possible. Hubby Derek made 3 planters, & coated them twice in black wood stain ready for planting. Thanks to Mike Kjenstad we managed to get the timber at a good price. I’ve had fun purchasing plants & spring bulbs locally over the last month in preparation for today’s planting session as announced at Christmas comps. Ladies Section Project Fund is funding majority of this project- labour is FOC & some materials are from Club funds & HG Richard ie top soil & machinery. *Derek is aiming to start work on Starter's Hut roof tomorrow to replace missing roof felt to make it waterproof..weather permitting. **Next tranche of work will be early Jan 2026. I’ll msg a schedule of work, once it’s agreed & any help will be most welcome. Thank you Gail for your help lifting, moving & planting today.
