Captain’s address - 18th May

Dear Members,
The weekend saw Royal Guernsey GC come to our Club to play a fixture that has continued for the last 54 yrs. The friendships forged have a lasting effect for both Clubs.
Captain Mark Palfrey led his team against Lady Captain Linda’s team of elite ladies.
The Guernsey boys were entertained with sweet and savoury treats and Hugo cocktails at the 10th. All this led to a Ramsey victory 6.5 to 2.5, a delicious meal and a celebratory conga in the Clubhouse. Congratulations Ladies!
Saturday, my team of Gents played the Guernsey boys, acquitted themselves perfectly and realised a victory 7.5 to 1.5.
The evening was spent being fed and watered in the Cross Keys, what an entertaining night!
Sunday the Guernsey boys came back for more punishment and the spoils went to Ramsey again with a scoreline of 6.5 to 2.5.
For the Presentation Evening, we had a sumptuous meal, wine and speeches. A wonderful night with friends!
The Caterers, Bar and Green Staff presented a perfect Clubhouse and Course I thank you!
The return fixture for us to take the challenge out to Royal Guernsey is in September. Links golf, gorse and perfect Guernsey hospitality faces my team of Gentlemen, we can’t wait!
Kind regards,
Captain Rich
