Ramsey hosts CAGU under 16 Cambs v Norfolk

A Thrilling Day of Junior Golf at Ramsey Golf Club

We were delighted to host the Under 16’s CAGU (Cambridgeshire Area Golf Union) matches last Thursday, featuring a fantastic contest between Cambs and Norfolk. It was a brilliant display of skill, with all participants playing off handicaps of under 8, ensuring the 10 scratch matches were as competitive as they were impressive.

While the action unfolded on the course, it was a busy day for our own junior section as well, with club representatives out on the course supporting three of our own "newbie" juniors during their roll-up session.

A Note from the Organisers

The event was a great success, finishing in a hard-fought draw with five matches apiece. We received a wonderful note from the event organizer, Charlie, who shared their gratitude:

"We are all so grateful to the Club and members for hosting us and I believe we are booked in for an U16 event v Suffolk and Leicestershire Triangular in 2027 now because we loved it so much."

Looking Ahead

It is fantastic to see Ramsey Golf Club becoming a destination for top-tier junior talent. We are already looking forward to welcoming back the CAGU for the U16 Triangular event against Suffolk and Leicestershire in 2027.
