The first Seniors Invitation Day was a resounding success with 20 pairs entering even though the weather initially was not very good. The results were:
First Prize to Sam Surman (RGC) and Richard Rochford (RGC) with an amazing 47 Points.
Second Prize to Nick Lunniss (RGC) and Phil Allen (Aspley Guise & Woburn Sands GC) with a respectable 42 Points.
Third Prize to Jimmy Bays (RGC) and Bob Livens (Hartford GC) with 41 Points on count back.
Nearest the pin on the 7th went to Hugh Cameron (RGC).
Nearest the pin on the 11th went to Bryan Harris (Lichfield Golf & Country Club)
Everyone enjoyed themselves with one exception, one pair had to be Disqualified for leaving the competition and their playing partner after only a few holes.
It is planned that this will become an Annual Event.
