Senior’s section update 17th April

On Tuesday 14th April the Seniors played their first major competition of the summer season, Jim’s Jug. This is a Stableford competition off of the yellow tees. We had 29 players on the day and it was really good to see some members joining the competition that don’t always get to play with the Seniors. There were some good scores but the overall winner on the day was Phil Ackers with 38 pts, second was Ron Gilbert 36pts and third Chris Bateman 34pts. The next big competition is the Steward Trophy on 28th April.

On Wednesday 16th April the Seniors Section played their first away match of the season at Burghley Park. The game was played in good weather and the course was also in good condition. The match was extremely tight with three games going down to the last hole. Unfortunately the final result was an overall 6 - 2 Burghley win.
