Seniors’ Section update 31 May

Once again this has been a very busy week for the Seniors Section, with two matches.

On Tuesday, the hottest day of the year so far, we played away at Thorpe Wood. The game did not tee off until 11:00 am and so the match was played right through the hottest part of the day. The heat was really punishing and by time the match was over a number of our team were suffering with heat exhaustion. The game was certainly tough with Thorpe Wood playing really well to defeat Ramsey 6 - 0, our first white wash.

On Friday it was our turn to host Milton. The intense heat had dropped and the weather was perfect. The course was in outstanding condition and the Ramsey team once again raised their game after the recent defeat to beat Milton 41/2 to 31/2.
